Winter Recess

We go outside during the winter months as much as possible. Come dressed for the weather every day. That includes hats, gloves, coats and boots when snow is on the ground. We stay inside when the real feel temperature is 15 and below or when it's raining.

Winter Wellness

As the winter season brings colder weather and seasonal illnesses, we wanted to share some important health and safety tips to keep our students healthy, safe, and ready to learn. The most important prevention measure is that students should stay home if they are sick  to prevent the spread of germs.

When to Keep Your Child Home
To help prevent the spread of illness in our school, please keep your child home if they exhibit any of the following symptoms:
  • Fever of 100.4°F or higher (must be fever-free for 24 hours without fever-reducing medication before returning).
  • Vomiting or diarrhea (must be symptom-free for 24 hours before returning).
  • Persistent cough, sore throat, or respiratory symptoms
  • Undiagnosed rash or draining eyes.
If symptoms begin at school, your child will be sent home as soon as possible. If you are unsure whether to send your child to school, please contact the health office for guidance.

Attached at the end of this post you'll find Winter Health Tips!
